Dialogue session on the presence of women in senior positions

Zameen Organization for Development and Peacebuilding held, on Saturday 02/18/2023, a dialogue session entitled “The Importance of Women in Senior Positions in Civil Society Organizations”, as part of the “Civil Leaders” initiative, in partnership with the Ashti Organization, in the organization’s main center in the city of Qamishli, northeast. Syria.

The activity was attended by 11 persons holding leadership positions in civil society organizations, with the aim of educating them on the importance of women assuming leadership positions in organizations, and enhancing their confidence in their abilities to do so.

The activity reviewed the reality of women in civil society organizations in the region, and talked about women’s capabilities and competence, and the importance of their presence in senior positions, in addition to the positive results that are evident in their assumption of these positions.

The activity concluded with a set of recommendations and proposals that would enhance the role of women and their presence in positions, and achieve the objectives of this session.
